Photoshop is always coming out with new tools to make photo editing both easier and more advanced. This new PhotoBomb tool makes is easier than ever before to liven up those old boring photos of yours, or to play a practical joke on a friend. It’s never been so simple!
Very rarely (if ever?) do we see a YouTube video as a way to announce a business transaction. That is exactly what internet retailer Woot did with great success to announce that they had been acquired by Amazon. Check out the announcement below and let us know what you think.
Although we’re almost halfway through 2012, I’d like to revisit the 10 most viewed videos from 2011. I have already posted about a few of these videos, but am bringing you the complete list in case you missed it. This list was compiled by YouTube Rewind.
The star of the video coming in at #10 will be of no surprise to those of you who have seen my last two posts. You guessed it, this adorable video features a cat mom hugging her baby kitten as it dreams.
This clever and award-winning commercial coming in at #9 was, with no surprise to anyone, made for the Super Bowl. This is the only commercial in the top 10, and actually went viral before it even aired. See why below.
An earlier post of mine shows Michael Buble blown away by how well a 15 year old is able to cover one of his songs. Along those lines comes #8’s 10 year old Maria Aragon covering Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way”. Lady Gaga was so impressed that she later invited Maria to perform on stage with her.
As seen in my Lonely Island post, the crew has many very popular videos on YouTube. Their video “The Creep” comes in as the #7 most viewed video of 2011.
YouTube’s #6 most viewed video of 2011 is definitely the video I have watched the most. Watch as a white girl covers Chris Brown’s “Look at me Now” with the most impressive part being Busta Rhyme’s impossibly fast verse.
Every once in a while a video becomes a viral hit for seemingly no reason. I believe Nyan Cat, coming in at #5, is a case of being popular for being popular (similar to stars like Paris Hilton who are considered “famous for being famous” by many). See if you think it’s worth the hype.
I simply can’t get enough of #4’s Talking Twin Babies. If I didn’t know better, I’d be adamant that these babies are having an intense discussion. Who knows, maybe it is more than just gibberish. What I do know is it is incredibly cute.
The Lonely Island boys are back again at #3, being the only group to have two videos in the top 10. Jack Sparrow is another video featured in my previous Lonely Island post, but is definitely worth another look.
Where as the baby talk video makes us use our imagination to think that they may be having an in-depth conversation, this video at #2 does all the work for us. Check out what it would be like if a dog could talk.
I’m sure that anyone who doesn’t live under a rock has heard the song from 2011’s #1 video far more times than they please to. Rebecca Black’s “Friday” took the country by storm, for better or worse.
So what do you think of 2011’s top 10 most watched videos? Let us know your favorites, least favorites, and any you thought for sure would have made the list that didn’t.
We all love sitting back and enjoying a nice fireworks display this time of year. Although the Fourth of July is often a time to relax, as apparent in this video, it can also turn dangerous if we are not safe. I want to take this opportunity to remind you all to be safe this holiday when handling fireworks and when near them.
On a lighter note, enjoy this music video from Shooter Jennings’ amazing song, “Fourth of July”.
Dogs are often praised and adored for how incredibly smart they are. Everyone has heard the classic Lassie-like stories of how a dog saved their owner’s life, etc. Although this isn’t quite at that level, this cat is impressive none the less. Watch as she communicates with her owner over food.
Continuing with our recent theme of cats, you may also want to check out “Boots and Cats.”
As you have probably gathered, I am more of a dog person. However, cats have shown to be incredibly entertaining at times due to their sly nature. Nowhere have I seen this better exemplified than in the following video in which a cat is stalking the video recorder. It really makes you think about how they were originally meant to be wild animals.
Check out the stalking cat back at it again, playing a game of red light green light with a feather.
Do you guys remember the Slow Loris craze a few years back? If not, you’re in for a pleasant surprise. You might want to shield your eyes unless you want to fall in love with this cute round eyed primate. In fact, the original Slow Loris craze created a little controversy when a spike in demand for the Slow Loris as a pet lead to increased trafficking and cruelty of the animal. With that in mind, enjoy the video of this adorable primate, but keep it at that.
Most of the videos you’ll find on here are relatively recent YouTube hits. However, once in a while I like to bring it back and revisit some old favorites that a lot of you have likely never seen before. Check out Jim Carrey in his early 1990’s performance as The Juice Weasel on In Living Color.
We all like to step outside and enjoy nature every once in a while. As you all know by now, I am a big fan of overreactions so you can probably see where this is going. This man takes our love for nature to a whole new level when, at Yosemitebear Mountain, he spots a giant double rainbow. Maybe the residents from the previous video are on to something and the end of the rainbow is in Mobile, Alabama? Check it out for yourself, and as he says, “Look into the mirror, look into your soul.”
If you can’t get enough of the giant double rainbow, check out the double rainbow song below.
We may be a few months past St. Patrick’s Day, but a Leprechaun on the loose is always relevant. In what appears to be a variation of a scene straight out of Elf in which residents of New York catch a glimpse of Santa Clause, these residents of Mobile, Alabama are convinced they have spotted a Leprechaun in the trees. See for yourself what’s at the end of this rainbow.
If you liked the original, you’re sure to love the remix as well.
